Pudlenka aneb Ml jsem psa a koku – CD (te Marek Eben)

This Czech-language MP3 audiobook presents Karel apeks humorous observations of animals, especially his cat Pudlenka and her kittens, as well as the dog Iris, mother of apeks Deka, and her puppies. A great lover of animals, people and plants, apek writes about them with understanding, affection, wit and gentle humour, contrasting the independent, ironic nature of cats with the sociable, humorous character of dogs. Marek Eben reads these texts by one of the major figures of twentieth-century Czech literature with an understanding that matches apeks style, adding the amusement of someone who knows exactly what the author is describing. The recording is suitable for children and adults, not only dog and cat owners, who will especially appreciate apeks humour and insight into both animals and people.
