Ota Pavel: Povdky 2 CDmp3

This Czech-language audio collection presents famous and lesser-known short stories by Ota Pavel, organised around fishing, family, nature, creative work and sport. The nearly nine-hour programme combines legendary recordings from the 1970s to the 1990s with new recordings of stories from Stories from the Drawer, discovered among Pavels papers and first published in 2017 in the complete edition of his work. The collection brings together performers from four generations, including Vlastimil Brodsk, Rudolf Hrunsk, Ji Sovk, Miroslav Hornek, Josef Somr, Petr Vacek, Simona Staov, Ji Lbus and others. It includes selections from A Full Crate of Champagne, The Death of Beautiful Roebucks, How I Met the Fish and Golden Eels, along with the dramatised 2011 version of The Tale of Raka, directed by Jan Jir. The second disc is devoted to Stories from the Drawer, recorded by Radz Mcha, Igor Orozovi and Miloslav Knig in 2020.
