This Czech-language audiobook is about fathers and sons, and about repairing a relationship before it is too late. Eighty-nine-year-old Bo misses his beloved wife Fredrika, who is suffering from dementia, and wonders how his life came to this. Regular visits from home-care workers remind him that he now depends on other peoples help, and although they treat him kindly, Bo often feels ridiculous and ashamed. It is becoming harder for him to preserve his dignity. He thinks about his loved ones in ways he never has before, but most of all he thinks about his son Hans. He does not want their relationship to end up like the one he once had with his own father. Hans, however, is preparing to take Bos loyal dog Sixten away because he believes Bo can no longer care for him. Bo must somehow put things right. His reflections alternate with the carers accounts, and he is especially fond of Ingrid, who willingly helps him with Sixten. Can he place his hopes in her? Bo is running out of time and realises that nothing is simply black or white. This empathetic story about letting go is performed by the Frej acting family, whose members are close in age to Bo, Hans and Ingrid: Ladislav Frej, Kristna Frejov and Ladislav Frej Jr.
