Povdky a jedna bse – 3 CD

This Czech-language three-CD audiobook presents Zdenk Svrk reading his third collection of short stories, accompanied by music by Jaroslav Uhl. Its humor is sometimes well hidden but always clearly present. In several stories, Svrk himself or members of his family appear, while other protagonists include the last Czechoslovak fighter pilot to take part in the Battle of Britain. The collection also features a gripping detective uncovering a long-ago crime and ends with a prophetic poem in which Svrk predicted, in October 1989, everything that would follow a month later. The recordings include The Window, Night Sky, Ruin, The Dog, The General, Rivers, Little Tram, Beauty and Depiction of an Execution.
