Toulky eskou minulost 951-1000 – 2CD/mp3

This Czech-language audiobook continues the radio series based on Petr HoraHoejs book Czech History: A Journey Through the Past, a modern, richly documented and engaging interpretation of key events in Czech history. When Josef Vesel, an editor at Czech Radios Brno studio, proposed adapting the book for radio, he could hardly have known that the series would grow to more than 950 episodes and become one of the most successful radio programmes. These recordings bring together stories that many listeners enjoy returning to. The two discs include features on travellers, doctors, ethnographers, writers, poets, inventors, artists, educators, sportsmen and other notable figures and events from Czech history, including Pavel Durdk, Josef Tulka, Antonn Dvok, Frantiek Ferdinand and the history of education, sport, national identity and everyday life under the old monarchy. The contents are in Czech.
