The animal rescuers are back: Grandpa Orlk, tall Maty, clever Miki, quiet Petr, slow Erik and his speedy sister Sofie. They are united by their love of animals and their wish to help. On a spring walk to a stream, everything goes wrong: Erik ends up in the mud and Grandpa Orlk loses his beloved pocketknife. The rescuers split up to solve all the problems, but then discover an abandoned puppy that is not breathing. The struggle to save its life is just beginning. This Czech-language first-reading book follows their attempt to rescue it.
