Zaslben zem Remarque Erich Maria (2021)

The Promised Land is the last novel Erich Maria Remarque worked on before his death in 1970. As in some of his other books, this unfinished work explores the experiences of German refugees during the Second World War, people whom the fascists forced into emigration. The story takes place in the United States, the promised land where many Europeans, including Jews and others unwanted by the Nazi regime, found refuge during the war. An afterword offers readers a sensational revelation. The contents are in Czech.
