Woman in the Villa (2026)

A holiday in Italy with my husband and his family should be a dream trip: two weeks in the scorching sun, relaxing by the pool and sipping local wine. Instead, it is two weeks spent trying to hide what I have done. When I meet Carmen, the woman staying in the neighboring villa, I am immediately drawn to her, grateful for a sense of normality amid the intensity of my in-laws. I never expect to tell her my biggest secret, one that could tear my entire life apart. But when I return the next day to beg Carmen not to tell anyone, the house is completely empty and she has disappeared. Who was the woman in the villa? Why was she there? And who have I confessed my darkest secret to?
