Vrada na jarmarku Gayle Katie (2025)

The annual village celebration in the old English village of Berrywick is in full swing, with decorated stalls selling homemade baked goods, a baking competition and even a maze where defeated visitors can find consolation. Julia Bird, who moved to the village from London and is now a well-known, even notorious, member of the community, throws herself into the festivities alongside her disobedient Labrador, Jake. Her reputation for turning every event into a drama takes on a more serious dimension when she discovers a body in the maze. Ursula Benjamin, an unpopular teacher and the losing contestant in the baking competition, has been strangled, and the killer must be someone at the celebration. Julia cannot shake the suspicion that the murderer is one of the contestants. Or is there something dark in Ursulas life that drove someone to kill? Julia refuses to leave the investigation to the police. Whether the local inspector likes it or not, she becomes involved and intends to solve the mystery. When another body is found, tension in Berrywick rises. Can Julia identify the killer and stop them before they strike again?
