Vous a oko a patnct rukou (2026)

This book presents the first complete Czech translation of Daniil Charmss poetry, containing 260 of the 283 poems. Of the 23 poems not translated, some have not been reliably reconstructed by Russian editors, while others cannot be transferred into the Czech linguistic and cultural environment. All the translations are based on the poems earliest versions, since the authors later revisions are not always well documented. The translations also preserve all grammatical peculiarities and deviations. Charmss poetry is truly nonconformist and deliberately unsentimental, often grotesque, ironic and sarcastic. The contents are in Czech.
