This colorful social studies workbook for fifth-grade pupils is part of the Understanding in Context series and forms a functional unit with the textbooks, following their teaching material. The Czech-language exercises encourage pupils to find and work with information from the textbook and other sources. They practise and consolidate their knowledge through open questions and imaginative, entertaining tasks, including matching concepts and information, completing diagrams, describing pictures, selecting the correct options, completing sentences, solving coded messages, anagrams, and word searches. At the end of each review section, pupils can assess their own progress. Selected tasks in the textbooks and workbooks develop the ability to obtain necessary information from geographical maps and various types of graphs.
