Vlaka (2026)

This historical novel follows Adolf Klein, a German railway-post official in Brno who, at the end of the 1930s, finds himself in a situation where outside circumstances destroy everything he cares about. A Czech womans husband and the father of three grown children, Klein watches as his sons succumb to Nazi ideology while his daughter Emilie joins the Czech resistance. Although he can distinguish good from evil, circumstances force him to serve both sides. Can he find enough courage to preserve his integrity and save the people who matter most to him?
