Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore Emily Krempholtz (2025)

Violet Thistlewaite has spent her life as the dark sorcerer Guy Shadowfades right-hand witch, but after his death she is ready to leave dark magic behind. She moves to the quiet town of Dragons Rest, opens a flower shop, and tries to become good, despite her reputation and her mildly homicidal sentient houseplant. Her bouquets charm the locals, but the grumpy and irresistibly handsome alchemist Nathaniel Marsh is less impressed, and Violet is forced to share a greenhouse with him. When a strange blight begins to destroy the roots of Dragons Rest, Violet and Nathaniel must work together to save the town while confronting their fears, pasts, and growing feelings. As old secrets emerge, Violet must decide whether a former villain can truly deserve a happily-ever-after. This heartwarming cosy fantasy romance features a small-town setting, low spice, villain redemption, found family, and a grumpy-and-sunshine pairing.
