Vigilie grave (Soubor dla) apek Karel Jan (2026)

This Czech-language volume presents the first collected edition of the poetry and prose of Karel Jan apek, a notable figure in Czech poetry of the 1990s. It opens with reprints of his two poetry books, Menuet s krejovskou pannou (1993) and Karel je nemocn a pedt (1997), followed by a selection of more than fifty poems published in periodicals during his lifetime or preserved among his papers. The edition also contains, for the first time in full, the extensive prose work Novelka o smrti a loutkch from the final years of apeks life, of which only part has previously been published, together with three shorter prose pieces. The concluding section gathers apeks occasional journalism, which he published sporadically in newspapers and magazines. A photographic supplement includes several previously unknown portraits of K. J. apek.
