Velk Gatsby Fitzgerald Francis Scott (2019)

First published in 1925, this novel was not particularly popular during its authors lifetime, but it is now one of the best-known and most widely read works of modern American literature. Jazz music and its story of passion and tragic love remain timeless. A new Czech translation appeared in 2013, the same year as a major film adaptation starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the wealthy, eccentric and mysterious Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan as the alluring Daisy. The contents are in Czech.
