V rytmu generla pion ndor Andor (2025)

A dance between truth and the necessity of silence, this personal account by Andor ndor reflects on how politics, migration, the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have deepened divisions in society and left less room for discussion and listening. Drawing on extensive experience, analysis and deep insight, the former head of military intelligence and security expert presents rational and logical views even where others speak according to whose side they support. The book combines chapters on the most pressing problems facing the contemporary world and Czechia with personal recollections, tracing his life from childhood, when he already wanted to become a spy, through his time in the secret service and his departure from the army to his career in the private sector. He also describes playing drums in a rock band, recalls people he has met and discusses events such as September 11. ndor analyses the war in Ukraine and Russias motivations, the Czech army, the war in Israel, migration, the state of the EU and the level of public debate in Czechia.
