Upgrade 8 – Teachers Book (2026)

Upgrade your English lessons with the Upgrade 8 teaching materials, a new English-learning series for lower-secondary schools and the lower grades of multi-year grammar schools. The materials also reflect the Czech Education Policy Strategy to 2030+, which emphasises developing the key competencies considered essential for the sustainable development of society in the coming decades of the 21st century. Based on the communicative method, the course develops all four language skills evenly and is slightly above A2 level. It offers extensive practice of language resources using contemporary language. Age-appropriate topics, colourful illustrations, project ideas, games and new-media-style videos such as vlogs help motivate pupils. The Compass section in each lesson adds further interesting information, connecting the subject matter with pupils lives, other school subjects and life beyond school.
