Umakart – Vlci u dve CD

Eight years after their debut album Manul, following the film Alois Nebel, the unexpected Christmas hit Midnight and Vclav Necks comeback album Dobr asy, Jaromr 99, Duan Neuwerth, Jan P. Muchow, Jura Hradil and Tom Neuwerth return as Umakart with ten new songs on the album Vlci u dve. The lightly subversive summer single And Outside Its Raining offers a preview of the album. Jaromr 99 wrote the lyrics for eight songs, while poet Jan Tsnohldek wrote two. The original visual concept comes from Czech Grand Design award winner Bra Prilov, and the unconventional packaging was created by the Ex Lovers graphic studio. Jaromr 99 describes the record as an urban folklore of housing estates, arcades, strange characters and strange loves, with wolves waiting for every weakness and mistake. The album comes in a special box containing, among other things, five folded posters with portraits of the individual band members. The title and band name are handwritten by the musicians and artists, who may also leave a personal message, making each copy entirely unique.
