This book offers a look at traditional hiking and camping practices. Vladimr Rogl and Ctirad Smolk evoke the atmosphere of hiking, camping and tramping among children and young people at the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century. Although much has changed since its first publication in 1968, particularly with the abundance of equipment available for hiking and camping, the original text and its illustrative, humorous drawings remain unchanged. The book can appeal both to readers nostalgically recalling their own early tramping trips and to todays young generation, offering instruction and entertainment to those taking a break from computer screens. Like its earlier edition, it serves as a guide and companion for young hikers and campers setting out on adventures in nature.
