U pinav kachny (2026)

This witty and absurd science-fiction satire follows a Master of Philosophy who returns from a research trip to the northern land of Dlslant with a slight hangover, no shoes and the troubling suspicion that the world is no longer what it used to be. Literally. Between parallel universes, research institutes, hungry orangutans and the bureaucratic Bureau for the Stability of the Greater Universe, a story unfolds full of irony, philosophical questions and absurd interdimensional accidents. The novel mixes Pratchett-like humour with the familiar Czech absurdity of Hrabals outskirts and academic petit bourgeois life. The contents are in Czech.
