This Czech-language novel follows Natlie, an editor at a publishing house who assesses and revises authors manuscripts. When she writes a novel of her own, her life turns upside down: the book is rejected and she loses her job. Demotivated and lacking confidence, she searches for new work, but is surprised by love. Instead of enjoying her relationship with Michal, however, she is troubled by his strange secret phone calls and by the arrival of his crazy teenage sister Romana for the holidays. She also discovers that a former colleague has stolen her manuscript and is publishing it under her own name. Will Natlie find her lost confidence and courage, and realize that despite all her misfortune and hardships, she is actually very lucky?
