Trit iluz Poncarov Petra (2025)

This Czech-language novel follows three contemporary women whose lives intertwine through their illusions, desires and disappointments. None of them is satisfied with her life. Single Vanda wants to put down roots, while married Vendula is approaching forty and feels that life is slipping through her fingers; she is exhausted and feels unappreciated. Magda is dissatisfied with the lifestyle she leads with her family, as well as with city life and the difficult relationship with her husbands parents. When fate brings the three women together, they sense that they would rather live one anothers lives, despite never becoming closely acquainted. But when each of them experiences a radical change, will they become happier?
