Their mission is murder. His is revenge. Suzuki is an ordinary maths teacher until his wife is murdered. Seeking justice, he leaves his old life behind to infiltrate the criminal gang responsible, unaware that he is about to be drawn into a web involving some of the most unusual professional assassins, each with an agenda of their own. The Whale persuades his victims to take their own lives using nothing but his words. The Cicada is a talkative and deadly knife expert. The Pusher dispatches his targets in fatal traffic accidents. To avenge his wife, Suzuki must take on all three assassins, but can he preserve his innocence in a world of seasoned killers? Part high-octane thriller and part farce, this is an unusual and thoroughly entertaining read, full of double-crosses, twists and turns.
