This Deceit of Ours Lir Shannon R. (2022)

Sersa Scth has been trying to restrain her sharp tongue ever since she accidentally stole her clans magic, earning herself the name Mad Heir. Seeking escape from the whispers, she goes to the City of Soulless, filled with rundown pubs, lavish betting halls and places of pleasure. Yet no mortal is safe in this city between the lands of the living and the dead, especially during Reaping Hour, when restless spirits hunt for souls. Nessin Drumghoul, a Gilder noble and son of the Daemon King, controls a web of secrets capable of destroying any noble house. He has the perfect secret to persuade Sersa to pose as his betrothed: the truth about her missing father. His reasons for needing her help remain mysterious, however, and although Sersa senses a malicious motive, their attraction is undeniable and dangerous. As the boundary between deception and reality begins to blur, their false betrothal threatens to destroy them both.
