The Phantom of the Opera Leroux Gaston (2016)

This English-language edition of Gaston Lerouxs classic novel follows the strange events at the Paris Opera House, where a mysterious phantoma skeleton in evening dressterrorizes singers and backstage staff. When new managers take over and dismiss the rumours of the Opera Ghost, the terror truly begins. Who is the figure stalking the stage at night, appearing in several places at once and entering and leaving locked rooms at will? What is his connection to Christine, the beautiful and talented young soloist? Best known through its many stage and screen adaptations, the original text surpasses them all in Gothic tension and haunting horror. This Macmillan Collectors Library edition includes an afterword by dramatist Peter Harness.
