The Palace of Eros De Robertis Carolin (2024)

Young, headstrong Psyche has attracted the attention of every suitor with her beauty, but also the jealous gaze of the goddess Aphrodite. As punishment, Psyche is tied to a rock to be sacrificed to a monstrous husband. Yet no monster arrives: instead, she is spirited away by Aphrodites daughter Eros, the goddess of desire, who can change gender at will. In her hidden palace, Eros visits her bride under cover of darkness, while Psyche is forbidden to look upon her lovers face. As they explore each others bodies and discover new pleasures, Psyche is tempted to break her vow, even if it brings down the wrath of the gods. This seductive, gender-fluid retelling of the myth of Psyche and Eros is a gloriously anarchic and romantic fantasy from Caro De Robertis.
