Sweet & Bitter Magic Tooley Adrienne (2022)

In this debut fantasy, a witch cursed never to love meets a girl hiding her own dangerous magic, and the two strike a perilous bargain to save their queendom. Tamsin is the most powerful witch of her generation, but after committing the worst magical sin, she is exiled by the ruling Coven and cursed with the inability to love. The only way to recover those feelings, even briefly, is to steal love from others. Wren is a source, a rare person made of magic but unable to use it herself. Sources must train with the Coven as soon as their abilities are discovered, but Wren has spent her life hiding her secret while caring for her ailing father. When a magical plague ravages the queendom and her father becomes one of its victims, Wren proposes a bargain: if Tamsin helps her find the dark witch responsible for creating the plague, Wren will give Tamsin her love for her father. Love bargains are complicated, however, and the two face a long and perilous journeyif they do not kill each other first.
