Story of Babar (2008)

After his mother is killed by a hunter, Babar escapes to the city, where the kindly Old Lady takes him in. He becomes educated and cultured, then returns to the great forest and is crowned King of the Elephants. Jean de Brunhoffs beloved tales follow Babar and Celeste as they build a city, establish a family and face adventures involving snakes, fire, runaway prams and even winged elephants. With patience and determination, Babar always triumphs. Beautifully illustrated, this classic picture book is suitable for children aged three and up.
