Spolenost singularit – O strukturln promn modernity Reckwitz Andreas (2025)

This Czech-language book examines the causes, structures and consequences of the society of singularities in which we now live. Whereas industrial societies at the beginning of the twentieth century produced standardized goods, cities, organizations and individuals, late-modern societies value uniqueness: exceptional objects, experiences, places, individuals, events and communities. According to the author, this society systematically produces inequality: markets follow a winner-takes-all logic, jobs are polarized, rural regions are neglected and the traditional middle class is alienated. Another consequence of singularization is the rise of populism and aggressive nationalism.
