Soukrom tajemstv Rudi Jaroslav (2020)

This collection of Czech short stories explores the secrets people refuse or are unable to reveal. Anna would never admit to her mother that her husband is, to put it mildly, not as perfect a man as her father, whom she never knew, while Lucie will say nothing at all about the father of her unborn child. Mr. Gruss insists that the gatehouse of ternberk Palace must be locked and out of operation between midnight and one in the morning, whereas Milada has refused to let anyone into the palace school chapel for countless years. For the narrator of Jaroslav Rudis story, it is a mystery what happened the previous evening and why tomatoes from a nearby convenience store are hanging from a bush on his balcony, while for Tom Marek Epstein, it is his new phone. And how are the Jewish cemetery in Mikulov and little Esters first baby tooth connected? The contents are in Czech.
