Socialites Lamond Caroline (2025)

In the 1920s, three young girls enter a strict, cheerless convent school in a quiet London suburb. Six years later, they leave to change the world. Maureen becomes the movie star whose role as Tarzans Jane helps rewrite the rules of cinema censorship. Sonia is an aspiring writer who becomes George Orwells wife and the guardian of his literary legacy. Vivien becomes an actress as iconic as the roles she plays, from Cleopatra to Scarlett OHara. Their careers encompass glamour and tragedy, triumph and scandal, taking them from Bloomsbury to Hollywood, from the cafs of Paris to the theatres of New York. Caroline Lamonds historical novel is an epic spanning four decades and three unforgettable lives, offering an atmospheric portrait of women pushing boundaries and defying expectations in the glittering yet masculine world of theatre, film and society during Hollywoods Golden Age.
