SLOVO (hudba k filmu Beaty Parkanov) – CD

Music inspired by Beata Parkanovs film Slovo, this special album presents twelve duets whose lyrics were written by the director herself. The film follows Vclav and Vra, a married couple in the late 1960s who promise to stand by each other and not cross their moral boundaries, even in the face of oppression, humiliation and the loss of security. Film-music composer Jan P. Muchow serves as the albums musical producer and curator, inviting a diverse group of Czech and Slovak songwriters and performers to contribute without imposing any particular genre. The duets bring together Anna Fialov and Ondej Ruml, Kristna Mihaov and Katarzia, Beata Hlavenkov and Juraj Benetin, Andrea and Mikol Rika, Kateina Winterov and Vclav Havelka, Tereza Krippnerov and Ondej Rychl, Daniela Psaovicov and Ondej G. Brzobohat, among many others. Slovo offers a varied collection of chanson-influenced duets, united by depth, strength and tenderness. The title song features Lenka Dusilov and Vojtch Dyk.
