Czech-Israeli Hebraist Helena Beinish presents a volume containing a new Czech translation of the celebrated Kabbalistic book Sefer Jecira from the original. This bilingual edition includes the Hebrew and Czech texts and is accompanied by a detailed explanation of individual verses. The book also offers numerous commentaries examining not only the texts Jewish foundations, but also its Greek, Gnostic and Hermetic connections, as well as its relationship to ancient creation myths. In the final section, the author demonstrates the ancient origins of the core of Sefer Jecira and introduces readers to the basic concepts of Judaism and Kabbalah. It is a significant original Kabbalistic work, thoroughly treated from both religious studies and Hermetic perspectives.
