This Czech-language book is intended for caregivers, whether they provide care professionally or within their own families. Canadian author Lise Leblanc draws on both personal experience and professional qualifications as a registered psychotherapist, crisis-intervention specialist and caregiver. She explores what happens when caregivers begin to neglect themselves, informed by her own experience caring for her grandmother with Alzheimers disease while working full-time, raising two children and managing with the rest of her family living far away. This experience inspired her to write a guide for people facing similarly demanding situations.
