Rytec kamej Fla Ivan (2019)

This Czech-language novel is a gripping ballad about love between heaven and earth, beauty and ecstasy, crime and punishment. It tells of the Sorcerer from the Wild Lake, who fulfils the ancient dream of all alchemists and creates an immortal human being; a girl gifted with the ability to see into her past lives; and lovers who experience together the most beautiful beauty of all beauties. Set a century ago, this fairy tale for adults is full of magic and fantasy, taking readers from a meadow glowing in the spring sunshine to the mysteries of life and death. Foreign publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair described it as having the potential of Harry Potter, the mystery of Dan Brown and the mysticism of the Golem. Ivan Fla is also the author of The Man Who Stood in the Way, which tells the life story of Frantiek Kriegel.
