Rue Sans-Souci (2013)

This crime novel follows Norwegian inspector Harry Hole, who finds the body of a woman in an Oslo apartment after spending the night with her, although he remembers nothing. Aware that he could become the main suspect, Harry secretly investigates while officially assigned to another case: a botched robbery in which the robber shot an apparently compliant employee. His colleagues believe it was simply a loss of control, but Hole concludes that it was murder. The inspector must solve two unusual crimes while struggling with one troubling question: is someone trying to frame him?
