Robinson Crusoe (anglicky) Defoe Daniel (1997)

With an introduction and notes by Doreen Roberts of Rutherford College, University of Kent at Canterbury, this classic adventure novel has been printed in more than 700 editions since its first publication in 1719. It has inspired almost every conceivable kind of imitation and variation and has been adapted for plays, opera, cartoons and computer games. Crusoe has entered the consciousness of successive generations, as readers add their own interpretations to the adventures so thrillingly recorded by Defoe. Praised by Coleridge, Rousseau and Wordsworth, and cited by Karl Marx in Das Kapital to illustrate economic theory, Robinson Crusoe has retained its enduring position as a classic tale of adventure for readers of all ages.
