Requiem of the Rose King, Vol. 7 Kanno Aya (2017)

This gothic dark fantasy manga gives Shakespeares Richard III a gender-bent twist. Richard, the ambitious third son of the House of York, believes he is cursed and condemned from birth to eternal darkness. But is fate truly leading him toward destruction, or are his own tormented desires to blame? Based on an early draft of Shakespeares Richard III, the story follows the would-be king as he stands between worlds, classes, and good and evil. As the war between Lancaster and York rages on, the physical bond between Richard and Prince Edward becomes increasingly apparent. Edwards loyalties are tested in battle, while his wife Anne carries out a desperate act to protect their dominion.
