Republika Padevt Ji (2020)

Ji Padevts collection of 73 stories explores the period from 1918 to 1990 through moments that seem insignificant or banal from the perspective of great history, yet are crucial to the people who experience them. The twentieth century is full of conflict, defeat, victory and paradoxes, often hidden in the shadow of major historical events. These seemingly ordinary moments can change the lives of those involved in unexpected and dramatic ways, leading either to despair or to enduring hope. The contents are in Czech.
