Red Rising – Red Rising Trilogy 1 Brown Pierce (2016)

Earth is dying. Darrow is a Red, a miner working deep inside Mars. He believes his mission is to extract enough precious elements to tame the planets surface one day and make it possible for humans to live there. The Reds are humanitys last hopeor so it seems. Then Darrow discovers that it is all a lie. Mars has been habitable and inhabited for generations by the Golds, a class of people who look down on Darrow and his fellow Reds as slave labor, exploiting them and working them to death without a second thought. With the help of a mysterious group of rebels, Darrow disguises himself as a Gold and infiltrates their command school, determined to bring down his oppressors from within. But the command school is a battlefield, and Darrow is not the only student with an agenda. Break the chains. Live for more.
