Putnovy modlitebn knky pro nemodlie (2022)

This Czech-language boxed set of three prayer books offers an opportunity to pray in new and profound ways alongside inspiring figures from the Czech literary world of the 20th century. During the pandemic in 2020, Martin C. Putna combined his literary-critical talent with his vocation as a preacher and began a series of prayer books with a selection from the work of Karel apek, Skoro modlitby, so that those who do not pray could pray, and those who do not go to church would have somewhere to seek comfort. The following year, he continued with Magorsk modlitby, a selection of poetry by Ivan M. Jirous that reached many counterculture supporters on the periphery of the church. He completed the loosely connected trilogy with Modlitby eskoidovsk (2022), revealing to Czech readers often-hidden treasures of Czech-Jewish religious devotion. The gift set also contains two downloadable audiobooks: Skoro modlitby, narrated by Miroslav Tborsk and Martin C. Putna, and Magorsk modlitby, narrated by Oldich Kaiser and Martin C. Putna.
