The core of the book presents the work and lives of more than sixty significant photographers, including Frantiek Drtikol, Jaromr Funke, Josef Sudek, Jan Lukas, Dagmar Hochov, Josef Koudelka, Jan Saudek, Jindich treit, Libue Jarcovjkov, Karel Cudln, Antonn Kratochvl, Tono Stano, Ivan Pinkava and Miroslav Tich. The text is supplemented by comic-strip stories depicting key moments in the development of photography in the region.
