One night, the entire world changes. Human history shatters, and fragments of civilizations from prehistory to the distant future come together again in a chaotic collage. Cultures once separated by hundreds or even thousands of years are suddenly brought into direct contact. The following morning, archaeology student Toa wakes up at a cottage in South Bohemia and discovers that the rest of the village has disappeared. A deep forest has replaced the road and houses. She does not yet know that a nearby medieval ruin has become a fortified stronghold as it appeared at the height of its glory. Nor does she know that Roman legions are camped in South Bohemia, while mammoths, bands of prehistoric people and a battle robot lost from the twenty-third century roam the nearby plains. There is also a distant German tank company from the Second World War, whose commander decides to rebuild the new world in his own image. Can Toa discover what caused the collapse of spacetime, and can she survive in such a world? In his preface, Roman Bure explains that this is not the fourth volume of the series, nor a sequel, prequel or other related work, and not a new edition, but rather a remake. The original novel and both its sequels have been rewritten from scratch. Bure says that no book is ever truly finished, since there is always something to improve, remove or write better, and that he wants to leave behind something genuinely worthwhile. He has preserved the original story, while revising the style and incorporating new scientific knowledge. The contents are in Czech.
