This remarkable underwater world, consisting of almost 3,000 individual reefs, forms the largest living structure visible from space. On your journey beneath the surface, you encounter a variety of sea creatures that live on the Great Barrier Reef. These creatures are interconnected, and their survival and prosperity depend on their symbiosis. As you dive deeper, you can transform the sea into a living, thriving ecosystem by meeting the needs of these remarkable marine animals. This strategic board game is set in the Great Barrier Reef. You choose coral and fish tiles from the available offerings, use them to build your own ocean, and fulfill the conditions of the sea creatures. Once their conditions are met, you complete and turn over the tiles to gain shells, a valuable currency that enables clever moves such as refreshing the offering, freely combining a tile with a fish, or moving an incomplete fish. You score points for completed corals and creatures, as well as for ecosystem cards, species diversity, and the clever placement of fish. Every game is different thanks to the selection of 10 of 22 sea creature species and two ecosystem cards, one orange and one blue, which change the scoring priorities. The game also offers a solo mode with a lionfish card, a family variant without ecosystem cards, and scenarios that provide challenges for longer game sessions. Visually appealing illustrations and a theme connecting the symbiosis of corals and fish make this a clever yet accessible strategy game that rewards thoughtful planning and tactical decisions on every turn. For one to four players, a game takes approximately 30 minutes.
