Ostraka – 2 LP

Michal Prokop and Framus Five present an album of twelve new songs accompanied by a thirteenth bonus track, a distinctive arrangement of Ji litrs 1960s melody Na shledanou with lyrics by Ji Such. Supported by a three-generation band, Prokop remains faithful to original rock music and strong lyrics about contemporary life. The songs, written by Prokop, Andy ermk, Pavel Marcel and Zdenk Wimpy Tichota together with lyricists including Michal Bul, Martin Nmec, Jan Lacina and Tom Roreek, range from blues songwriting with harmonica through dense Southern-style guitar rock to Hammond-organ drama, enriched by violin and brass. The album moves from the opening single A pece rno to the closing, reflective Vyrovnn, while Ostraka addresses difficult times with seriousness, occasional welcome perspective and consistent energy. The contents include Bezvt, Minuli jsme se ve snu, Hollywood, Jet pr fotek, Na cest, Blues o przdnm sedle, V nkupku, Sejmi and Ven pane.
