Michael Martinek is a Salesian priest, prison chaplain, teacher at Jabok and sought-after spiritual guide who has become a prominent figure in contemporary Czech Christianity. He is active in the synodal process, works to address wrongs caused by sexual and institutional abuse, advocates for womens equal position in the Church, criticizes clericalism, supports LGBTQ+ people and those living in irregular relationships, and has regularly appeared on his YouTube channel since the Covid era. This book is a selection from his many years of work, bringing together his most important texts and ideas on a wide range of subjects. In short reflections shaped by empathy, kindness, experience with people from all parts of society and an understanding of the complexities of todays world, while firmly embracing goodness and Gods love for every person, Martinek shows how the world can be viewed through genuinely Christian eyes.
