Odsouzen k smrti (2026)

This Czech-language crime novel asks what happens when someone is murdered by a person personally known to one of the investigators, Hana Vtkov or David Winkler. Can that investigator conceal the fact from colleagues, even though it could remove them from the team, and find the killer? After all, who could feel more strongly motivated to track down the murderer than the victims closest friend? Yet every coin has two sides. The determination to catch the killer at any cost and take revenge clouds the mind, leading a person into dangerous situations and places they would rather avoid if they did not long so intensely for justice. But does that blind lady exist at all?
