Selene Bowerss greatest wish is to be accepted into the Henbane coven, an elite academy for witches, and she would do anything to achieve it. But practicing magic exacts a cruel price: each time she casts a spell, she loses part of her memories. She also accidentally frees the sorcerer Memnon, who has been imprisoned for thousands of years. When someone begins murdering the other witches at the coven, Selene becomes the prime suspect because of her missing memories. Her only hope is Memnon, but the powerful mage demands a high price for his help.
