Non trh Moore Jonathan (2021)

A crime thriller set in dark San Francisco, where your worst fears seem like mere scary childrens stories. Inspector Ross Carver arrives at a crime scene with a colleague on Thursday evening: a man has been found dead upstairs, an unknown substance having literally eaten through his skin. Before the investigators can recover from the shock, the FBI arrives, seals off the area and decontaminates them. Suddenly it is Sunday, and Carver wakes in his bed with his neighbour Mia sitting beside him. Ross remembers nothingnot the murder, nor the journey home. He only has the vague feeling that something is wrong, and that Mia knows more than she appears to. The Czech-language book features suspense that never lets up, in the words of James Patterson.
