Noc – Obrzkov pbhy (2015)

It is night. People and animals are peacefully asleep, but not everyone. Little Andrej is camping in the garden and refuses to go to bed. Police officers are on patrol, children enjoy a night of reading in the library, and visitors to the park admire a fireworks display. Bats fly in the moonlight, while people and animals wander through the streets. A little raccoon appears on every page, and a thief is creeping through the darkness. As in Rotraut Susanne Berners earlier books Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, this Czech-language picture book uses witty illustrations to show everything happening in the town, this time during a warm summer night. It supports observation skills, stimulates the imagination, develops language and expands vocabulary.
